Situation:
Current Situation: | Dry windy conditions and dry grass allowed a fire starting from a vehicle rollover on I-70 to grow into an approximately 800-acre fire as of tonight. Aside from ensuring firefighter and public safety, the team’s biggest operational goals are fire containment and keeping I-70 open for travel. Travelers are encouraged to monitor Utah Fire Information social media for updates and drive carefully when traveling in the area. There is a Type 3 Incident Management Team managing the fire. |
