Richfield Ranger District Implements Lost Creek Slash Prescribed Burn

Over the next week, when weather conditions permit, the U.S. Forest Service-Fishlake National Forest plans to burn approximately 1,000 – 2,000 acres of activity fuels (slash) on the Richfield Ranger District, located 10 miles east of Glenwood, in Sevier County. The areas targeted contain thick concentrations of scattered cut/cured pinyon and juniper slash from hand thinning efforts, on Forest Service administered lands.
