Neffs Fire Update: Oct. 3, 2020

Fire behavior is minimal, smoldering and creeping along the ground within the interior of the fire perimeter.  Firefighters will patrol the fire perimeter looking for any hot spots where it is safely accessible to do so; a helicopter is available as needed through end of shift today. On the western flank, firefighters were successful with direct suppression, increasing containment. Chipping operations are now complete, firefighters will begin suppression repair of the secondary contingency line behind homes.

This Type 3 Incident Management Team will transition down to a Type 4 organization on Tuesday October 6th at 07:00AM.
