Summary:  Yesterday, air resources and ground crews continued working to establish containment lines, and fire behavior increased later in the afternoon. Today, a red-flag warning is in effect and storm cells may approach, bringing unpredictable wind and fire behavior. There are numerous hazard trees in the area, making containment difficult. Public and firefighter safety is always our top priority. Smoke is visible from Interstate 70 & surrounding areas.

Location: 15 miles East of Salina, Sevier County, Utah

Jurisdiction:  U.S. Forest Service

Fire Behavior: Moderate, creeping, short-range spotting and group torching

Structures:  None

Closures: Temporary road closures are now in effect for the following areas of the Fishlake and Manti La Sal National Forests:
