Yesterday, fire managers were concerned that the predicted winds would have a negative effect on the fire. Luckily the winds were not significant enough to push the fire outside of containment lines. The weather was cooler with partly cloudy skies only reaching 75 – 77 degrees in the fire area. Smoke jumpers and a second squad that were inserted into the rough terrain the day before, worked at the head of the fire catching spot fires. Crews on the other areas of the fire continue with line construction and mopping up hotspots. Helicopters are assisting firefighters on the ground. Two helicopters diverted to assist with the Parleys fire that started yesterday late afternoon.
