Summary: The human-caused Parleys Fire was mapped at 80 acres and is 0% contained. A Type 3 incident management team has assumed command of the fire. There was minimal fire activity overnight and no new growth; interior pockets of green vegetation continued to burn. Firefighters successfully dropped retardant around the majority of the fire perimeter yesterday. Today, crews will focus on securing containment lines around the fire. Fire investigators are asking anyone who saw a large dump truck, dark brown in color dragging chains traveling up I-80 in Parleys yesterday to make contact at (801) 538-5555.
