Cause: Human Caused – under investigation
Size: 336 acres
Containment: 18%
Fuels: Mixed conifer and lodgepole pine
Closures: Murdock Basin road (Forest Service road #137) and Broadhead Meadows road (Forest Service road #416) are closed and the area around Murdock Basin and Broadhead Meadows.

Yesterday, the fire became very active again around 3:00 p.m. due to dry windy hot conditions. Aviation resources supported firefighters with water bucket drops and retardant drops as the fire moved through dense pockets of trees. The fire is currently moving in a northeast direction. Crews will continue with line construction around the edges of the fire and mopping up hot spots. The weather is expected to continue with hot dry conditions.
