Yesterday, the northeast side of the fire experienced moderate fire behavior due to windy conditions. Small spot fires occurred when isolated groups of trees burned in the afternoon. Support from 4 helicopters helped crews cool down the spot fires. Firefighters have put in approximately 5 miles of hose line to secure the fires edge. Today crews will continue with line construction and adding more hose and pumps to the 5-mile hose line. A red flag warning is in effect today due to hot, dry and windy conditions west of the fire area.
