Start Date: June 25, 2020

Location and Jurisdiction:  South of the Sevier Playa in Millard and Beaver Counties, Utah. Jurisdiction is Bureau of Land Management, State of Utah, and private land.

Cause: Lightning

Fire Size: Better mapping has shown a decrease in acres burned on the Rock Path Fire to approximately 16,588 acres.  Crews will continue to construct and strengthen fireline using hand-crews and bulldozers around the perimeter of the fire during June 28, 2020 operational  period.  

Percent Contained: 45%

Fire Behavior: Red Flag Warning has the potential for wind-driven fire running through grasses with short spotting.

Structures Threatened: No values at risk at this time.

Fuels and Terrain: The fires are burning through grass, sagebrush, and juniper.

Fire Crews/Resources: A total of 335 personnel. Crews and resources include: 5 Hotshot Crews, 6 Type II hand crews, Air Attack, Lead Plane, 2 helicopters, 4 SEATS, 3 dozers, 11 engines, and 5 water tenders.

Evacuations: None
