Start Date: June 25, 2020
Location and Jurisdiction: South of the Sevier Playa in Millard and Beaver Counties, Utah. Jurisdiction is Bureau of Land Management, State of Utah, and private land.
Cause: Lightning
Fire Size: Crews conducted a burn-out operation June 26, 2020 to combine the two fires into one fire, the Rock Path Fire. The Combined total for the Rock Path Fire is approximately 20,117 acres.
Percent Contained: 25%
Fire Behavior: Wind-driven. Running through grasses with short spotting.
Structures Threatened: No values at risk at this time.
Fuels and Terrain: The fires are burning through grass, sagebrush, and juniper.
Fire Crews/Resources: A total of 250 personnel. Crews and resources include: 3 Hotshot Crews, 5 Type II hand crews, Air Attack, Lead Plane, 3 helicopters, 4 SEATS, 2 dozers, 11 engines, and 5 water tenders.
