8/6/19 Paint Mine Fire Update

Summary: The lightning caused Paint Mine Fire started August 3, 2019 and is located 3 miles northwest of Nephi, Utah. Yesterday, crews were able to establish a good portion of fire line on the north and east flank of the fire. Aerial resources also played an important role resulting in minimal fire growth. Today, crews will continue working the north and east flank to secure dozer lines. With the current hot and dry weather conditions, expect to see an increase in interior smokes and pockets of fire activity.
