Sauls Fire, which flared up June 14, has been contained on the north and south sides, Crews expect to directly attack any remaining fire and begin mop up today. The fire in the Sanpitch Mountain is west of Wales, Utah. It began May 14, and crews from the Manti-La Sal National Forest began containing the fire May 16. The edges have been cold with some interior burning until Thursday when high winds pushed the fire 100 acres north Thursday. Crews acted to suppress the fire Friday using retardant, and hand crews. The fire has burned about 200 acres.
